We support small arts, design and media businesses in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.
Services we offer are:
- A monthly ebulletin of training, networking, funding, jobs and other relevant opportunities
- One-to-one business advice
- Seminars on business and creative skills
- Creative networks including Performing Arts Leicester and Visual Arts Network
- Support for the development of new creative workspace
- Online directories and events which showcase creative businesses:
- Made in Leicestershire for visual artists, craft, designer makers and galleries
- Leicestershire Creatives for creative services for business
- ArtsLink Network to promote classes, workshops and participatory arts
All these services are free if you are based in our area. If you are not we may charge a small fee.
From 2005 to 2010 we ran a Bursary Scheme which funded 125 small businesses to develop. These businesses are listed here: Bursary Winners leaflet.
Creative Leicestershire is core funded by:
Leicestershire County Council, Leicester City Council, Rutland County Council, Blaby District Council, Charnwood Borough Council, Harborough District Council, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, Melton Borough Council, North West Leicestershire Borough Council, Oadby & Wigston Borough Council.
We are hosted by Leicestershire County Council and have also received funding from Arts Council England, east midlands development agency, The Mighty Creatives and the Cultural Leadership Programme.
