Project Manager & Consultation Manager
The Spark Children’s Art Festival is working with Leicester City Council to create two landscaped play spaces as part of the authority’s Children’s Play Strategy. These play spaces will be situated in Braunstone Park and Aylestone Meadows. The spaces will create a naturalistic play space that can also be utilised for activities and events, such as outside theatre or storytelling. They will fit into the surrounding landscapes and provide a different type of play experience for children (and adults!).
Project Manager: Reporting to the Spark Festival Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the project, from the consultation work through to installation next year. Funded through the Big Lottery, the successful candidate will work in partnership with city council officers and other stakeholders and be responsible for the overall project delivery. Freelance position, approx 45 days work, from July 2008 to July 2009. Fee: £11,250
Consultation Manager: reporting to the Project Manager – the successful candidate will have responsibility for undertaking the design consultation exercises that will be carried out over the summer of 2008. They will have responsibility for engaging with all possible stakeholders over the designs of the spaces, which will form part of the final design brief that will be commissioned from artists / designers. Dance4 - Freelance Dance and Health Worker
Dance4 are seeking an experienced freelance Dance and Health Worker that has a passion and desire to extent their skills within Dance and Health practice. Fee is £2,400 plus expenses. We are currently looking for a Dance and Health Worker that can help specifically support the development of our creative dance and older people's programme, Young@heart and working alongside the Learning Manager at Dance4 to support and develop future dance and health projects based within the local communities of Nottingham/shire. At present we will be offering a freelance contract until December 2008 however we are keen for this post to develop and extend the working hours. Dance4 are currently applying for various grants to support additional projects. Please note: the Worker must be available on a Tuesday morning from June 10th to deliver 10 practical dance sessions to the young@heart group Newstead. Other sessions are still to be programmed. The Summer Project
DeMontfort University manage a scheme which assists businesses complete projects that require time or skills that employees in the business may not have. They provide the business with an undergraduate for up to twelve weeks on projects ranging from Marketing, Design, Product design, animation, photography, media production, PR, website design etc. The cost to a business is £190 per week plus a management fee.
