Youth Dance Strategy Manager (maternity cover)

October 08 – March 09 Freelance fee: £16,000. Dance4 and Youth Dance England are working together to deliver a national programme of work focussing on the development of sustained opportunities for children and young people to dance both in and out of school, across the East Midlands region. We are seeking someone who can deliver a specific brief to embed this work in the region, complete a business plan and secure partners and resources for delivery of the programme from 2009-2011. The successful candidate will have three years’ management experience at a strategic level, proven ability to plan effectively and secure resources, a high level of literacy, excellent negotiation skills, and an enthusiasm for youth dance. The Summer Project

DeMontfort University manage a scheme which assists businesses complete projects that require time or skills that employees in the business may not have.  They provide the business with an undergraduate for up to twelve weeks on projects ranging from Marketing, Design, Product design, animation, photography, media production, PR, website design etc. The cost to a business is £190 per week plus a management fee.  This is paid to the University who than pay the student (no HR or payroll issues).
